American first army troops push into Sedan on the west bank of the Meuse for a four mile advance since Wednesday night. Allied forces from Scheldt to Meuse report gains as they drive Germans from small French pockets and clear Belgian frontier areas, with 6,000 prisoners captured around Sedan and Meuse lines reshaping toward Belgium and the Rhine.
