Born in Scotland, he came to Barre 28 years ago with Charles W McMillan forming a successful firm on Blackwell Street. He leaves a wife and four children, plus brothers in Barre and Aberdeenshire.
Frank Beatle of East Barry suffered a severe arm injury in an explosion while cleaning on the estate. Teammate McDougall assisted as medical staff were summoned. The arm was amputated below the elbow.
A late afternoon inquest heard testimony about a fire at a Sandmyling location. Mr. Densmore identified a resident on Brook Street as the witness, with two tall men seen coming from Mary Street carrying bottles.
