A horse belonging to R D Moxley bolted from South Main to Montpelier road and ran three miles into the city striking John McDonald on Brook Street on the way. McDonald was knocked down, injured, and cared for at Kendrick's drug store as the frenzied horse rode on toward the stable. Bert York, driving a rig with a boy aboard, escaped unharmed. Ambulance service was sought for McDonald.
