St Johnsbury March 28. Heavy washouts and landslides on the Paxiatopah division of the Hoxton and Maine railroad hindered traffic for days. Barnet’s lower village flooded, a telephone operator sheltered in a waterlogged home, and nearby dam damage disrupted roads. The Maine Central line had washouts and a landslide. Converd dam failure affected the highway. trains ran via St. Johnsbury over the St. J & 1 road, strained at several points.
Steam and electric service halted as bimes and lines suffer from bridge damage near South Royalton. Boston express abandoned after reaching South Royalton. Central Vermont lines north of Keene report outages. Vermont Power and Mfg plant at Plainfield flooded with water losses.
Flooding reaches St Albans Bay with water levels up 14 inches over two days amid heavy rain. Bridges washed away along the Neshobe River at Brandon and surrounding towns. The Brattleboro-Briggs congress reports the river at record heights, overflowing Center Street and causing damage near Market Street.

Edward C. Spinney a 33 year old laborer was instantly killed at O. W. Hunker & Son foundry in St Johnsbury while planning a wall prep for iron melting. He touched a broken insulated wire and received a fatal electric shock. He left a wife and three children.
Albert Wentworth Holton born July 23 1868 in Northfield died at 4 30 PM in Northfield after two weeks illness. He leaves wife Clara J Holton a daughter Beatrice of Montpelier and son George of Northfield, with siblings Miss Clara Holton Mire George Montague Mrs H M Houston Charles L Holton and William Holton. Mrs Elmer E Perry received word this morning that the body of her brother Bert Davenport had been found in Windham town after his disappearance last Monday. He was 62 and had not been feeling well recently. He lived in Witham, left six years ago for Weathersfield, and three years ago went to Windham. The cause of death is not yet known and the body will be brought to Marre for burial.
