Ada Widrig 30 shot and killed husband John Widrig at Woodlawn near Buffalo after following him from home during an early morning dispute. She attempted suicide but survived. He had left to visit relatives yesterday and the quarrel was believed to continue from the day before.
New Orleans reports from Victoria, Mexico, that five priests have been killed by rebels in Tamaulipas since November. Catholic arrivals say marauders looted cathedrals and churches, smashed sacred statues, and kidnapped clergy for ransom, with Archbishop Jose Gugmin and his wife reportedly cast to the street.
Roman OCagags returns home from City hospital after four months of recovery from injuries at Pirte quarry. Washington March 11 A measure to create an interstate trade commission to absorb the powers of the bureau of corporations was advanced by the House Interstate Commerce Committee The bill drawn after talks with the president and attorney general would appoint three commissioners at 10000 annually each and allow political party balance It defines corporations broadly and would require annual and special reports detailing organization ownership finance and practices for large and certain other firms while granting the commission authority to set a uniform reporting system and compel disclosures
Newport firemen aided in saving surrounding buildings as a large training occupied by a grant and feed mill and grocery store owned by Foster and Heaumont was destroyed last night. The loss was about 7000 with most contents gone. Cause unknown, possibly spontaneous combustion from mill dust. The two story 40 by 70 foot structure had operated as a mill for about 40 years.
Hawwick reports a fire at the tenement on High land avenue owned by John Ekbrock. Two Spanish families Ad Cabo and F Labia lived there. The blaze caused about 8000 in loss, with most furniture destroyed. Firefighters faced hydrant trouble delaying suppression.
A March 1 fire in Frenchville Maine destroyed four buildings including the powtotice, customs office, Pennett's Bovil and stable and a general store. The blaze damaged the hotel Fort Touchart and Michard and Michaud shop. Total loss estimated at 815,000 dollars. The properties belonged to Teruel Ouellette who also owned the general store. fire is thought to have started from a chimney.
Kara Corson of Rochester New Hampshire shot himself in the heart in his stable on Academ Street after a day in poor spirits. He had a prior suicide attempt years ago at his home. His wife found him after the gunshot. a bystander notified authorities. Corson, born in East Rochester, was a shoemaker and member of Knights of Pythias and the Rochester Congregational Church.
Philadelphia offers a ten dollar reward for seven year old Warren McCarrick's return. The boy has been missing since last Thursday. William McCormick, city treasurer, a friend of the father James McCormick, posted the reward. Investigated suspects who were arrested were released after police determined they did not know the boy's whereabouts. McCormick believes his son is somewhere in the neighborhood and has no enemies he can name.

Death came two hours after she was found unconscious at the foot of a stair leading to her second floor apartments. Dr. William McFarland said death was due to cerebral hemorrhage with a fall as a contributing cause. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at the Good Shepherd Church with interment in Hope Cemetery. Her son and sister and brothers survive. relatives in Barre and Balston Spa notified.
Judge Louis Munroe Clark of the Suffolk land court and former Boston alderman died after his automobile ran from one curb to another on Beacon Street between Exeter and Fairfield. The car crossed a lawn at 857 Teacot Street before stopping. Dr. Cries and Medical Examiner Magrath investigated the scene and attributed the death to natural causes. He had been visiting his sister at 17 Marlboro Street. wife and mother notified.
Funeral services for Mrs G W Perrin were held at her Beckley street home in the evening with Rev EF Newell officiating. A large crowd attended as pallbearers escorted the casket to Elmwood Cemetery where the casket lies in the receiving vault until spring. The obituary notes a long illness prior to death.
