Barney F Kelley a well known St Albans citizen died after long illness at his South Main Street home. Born November 20 1847 in Killinny Ireland he came to the United States as an infant. He served as sheriff of the county 1900 to 1906 and held several local offices. He married Nan A McSorley and later Ellen Twigg, leaving a daughter Lieire Mary Sullivan and a son George Kelley among his survivors.
Eastport Me March 10 Arthur Daggett 32 owner of a Peru farm eight miles from Eastport set fire to his property at 7 am yesterday destroying a two story farmhouse barn and outbuildings eight cows two horses and stock. Dr John H Brooke and John J Murphy of Eastport pronounced Daggett and his wife insane over religion and likely to be taken to Augusta hospital. Daggett formerly lived in Massachusetts.
