Former U S president Grover Cleveland died early today at his Princeton home after months of illness. He had served as Buffalo mayor, New York governor, and twice as president. The death followed heart, kidney and pantio intestinal issues with pulmonary complications. He is survived by his wife Frances and three children, with family at Tamworth N E L.

Prisoner Perham Brought From Iowa On Requisition
Henry Perham of Lancburg was arrested in Seymour Iowa for larceny from Sarah Somers of Lunenburg. He was brought to Vermont yesterday for a hearing before the Justice of the Peace Parsons. Somers had saved about 150 for burial after her belongings were stolen May 21, then Perham bought new clothes and fled toward Town. State's Attorney Amey obtained the requisition from Gov Fletcher Proctor, and Deputy Sheriff Dodie escorted Perham back to Vermont.

Drowned Workman in Connecticut River Mystery
Brattleboro May 24 John McSherry a workman on the ow dam between Vermont shore and Hinsdale New Hampshire was probably drowned yesterday. A spectator on the Vermont bank heard calls for help and saw a man in the river who sank before surfacing. The foreman would not know where he came from.

Elderly Man Killed Near Colby Place
Dawes June 24. William Gart Jatt, an altereperator, was killed on the road near the Colby place yesterday afternoon after his wagon was struck when his horse spooked by an automobile. He was nearly 80. His wife died four years ago and he leaves three daughters: Mrs George Gile of Wart Danville, Mrs Smith of Prachi, and a married daughter in Rutland, plus one son, Alla B. Rownett of Danville. The automobile is thought to have been driven by a Windsor Tobasbury man.
