Philadelphia June 18 More than 100 barrels supposedly filled with whiskey for export to the Greek government were found to contain water. The barrels were part of a contract by L M Smith & Co to supply the Greek government totaling five thousand barrels of whiskey and seven thousand barrels of alcohol. The 100 barrels gauged today came from Barkisburg and investigators found the whiskey had been removed before the shipment left that city.

More than 150 alumni, graduates, teachers and friends attended a joyous school reception. The Oriental Six orchestra filled the auditorium with lively music as the formal dance began at 8 o’clock led by Prin and Mrs Davison and a grand march. Red and white school colors draped the stage as candlelit Japanese lanterns hung along the walls and bouquets adorned the orchestra area. An intermission at 10:50 offered punch before the orchestra resumed, with guests enjoying swaying tunes, a tag dance and a ladies’ choice.
