Funeral services for Mrs Catherine McKenzie were held at 2 p m yesterday from the Melver home on Jefferson street. Mrs Flora C Beard aged 70 of Orange died at home after a week long illness mainly pneumonia. She was born in Orange and lived there much of her life including marriage to TR Edeon Beard. Survived by two children Frank K Beard and Minnie Beard and a brother Solon M Curtis of Dutch Flat. Funeral from Orange Congregational church Saturday at 2 PM with Rev James Ratmage officiating, burial in Orange cemetery.

Presbyterian Sunday school members and teacher D R Sturt accompanied the deceased to Hap e cemetery amid expressions of sympathy from friends. Attendees included teachers, family members, and a group of students from the sixth grade with floral tributes and remembered names such as Smith, Warren Leste, Kenneth Milne, David Reels, Adam Silver, Guy Lord, Hesky Mine, and others in attendance.
