Sirram M. Perry, formerly of East Fairfield Vermont, was found guilty of manslaughter in the February 24 death of Catherine McDougall at 17 Cherry Street South Find. Judge Bavierson sentenced him to five to ten years in state prison as Perry, in a pitiable condition, testified about his intent and past life. Relatives deserted him in East Fairfield and he had moved to Boston after leaving Vermont in July.

Charles A. Forbush porter of Springfield died yesterday afternoon at his Malin Street home from heart failure after a period of declining health. Born in Reading Wisconsin in 1820 he moved to Infield where he built a mercantile career and later helped organize local banks. He served as president of Springfield Savings Bank and treasurer of the bank until his death, was a longtime school and town official, and a legislator known as Infield's grand old man. He leaves a son Frank I of Rapids Michigan.
