At Dedham Mass on June 9 1920 witnesses testified about the April 1920 North Brainy tree payroll robbery and the slaying of paymaster F A Parmenter and guard Messandro Berardelli Two robbers are identified with Italian features by one witness Corrigan a Slater Morrill employee said he saw a man with plates in his hand in a front seat of a black seven passenger car as the getaway car sped away Other witnesses Bostock and Wade described firing and the payroll boxes being thrown into a Mack car as the bandits fired toward Parmenter and Berardelli both men appeared to be foreigners and among the suspects are Niveola and Bartholomeo Vanzetti. The trial continued with cross examination pending before recess for Sunday.

A large village blaze swept East Charlestin wiping out the business section. Losses reached about 87500 with Heho Inn, a summer hotel, destroyed.
