Antonio Pinotti a chef in a Boston flat at 150 North Street shot his wife Horton after a dispute over work, then killed himself as police arrived to arrest him. The wife, in serious condition, survived. They have children living with the wife's mother in Italy.
Dr Joseph Pospisel an employee of the Post Office shot at neighbors and police for six hours after believing he was being murdered. He fired about fifty shots but none hit anyone. He killed himself after leaping from a second floor window. He had moved to Washington from Wisconsin about eighteen years ago.
In New York on a June night, Dr. William Auspitz was shot in the vestibule of an West 138th Street building by his former nurse Miss Konet who then surrendered claiming the physician wronged her. Auspitz, married and practicing on East Ninety Third Street, died from neck wounds after the assailant fired through a glass door and in the vestibule.
Plymouth Mass June 4 Winslow W Avery died at his home on South street He was born in Montpelier Vermont 72 years ago and worked as a reporter in the Vermont legislature and the Vermont Watchman office In Montpelier He helped form a partnership with Capt Charles C Doten to publish the Old Colony Memorial Plymouth Rock Lodge and several papers He served as postmaster under Harrison and aided mail delivery He married Martha Eliza Foreham and later Mary A Lambre with two marriages producing four children Elmer R Avery and Marthe now reside in the area and Mare ceils Chandler Avery is a New York newspaper man He was active in local fraternal orders and the Methodist church
In June Worcester and Fitchburg two boys and two girls vanished after a canoeing trip on Lake yergamon. Allison Waterous, 24, was rescued. The other victims, including Ketchell and Watrous, were last seen as the canoe capsized after rocks were thrown. Bodies have not yet been recovered.

About 150 cadets from Norwich University camped on the old circuit ground in Randolph after marching into the village Saturday morning. They pitched tents for a two day stay and played a ball game with the local team The Lemons, where Norwich University won 9 to 2. Their drill was seen by villagers, some cadets attended churches Sunday, and they resumed marching in a straight line today. The villagers praised their quiet, courteous behavior throughout the visit.

In Bellow Falls on June 8 the body of John William Killeen was found in the Connecticut River near the dam after he fell in Friday night. Funeral will be held Wednesday forenoon at Waterbury.
Frank W. Kaneis of 74 Prospect Street was bitten by his coach dog while handling it near a neighbor’s property. Aly Langlois and others intervened to free the dog from under the man’s wrist as the dog showed signs of poisoning. Dr A H Lewis examined the dog and noted it was suffering from poisoning.
Mr and Mrs William Riddel celebrate twenty fifth wedding anniversary at their home on Eeperet street near Wil lammetows. A large gathering of friends attended Saturday evening. The couple’s family noted the event with modest festivities.
Charles Pelkey was arrested after allegedly entering John Scampini's Smith Street residence yesterday and ransacking a bedroom drawer for money. A girl saw him and alerted her mother. Pelkey fled but was pursued and apprehended near Berlin street. Evidence included $17 found and signs of a struggle. Pelkey awaits further court action in local jurisdiction.
