Confession in West Rutland Stabbing Case

In West Rutland last night Antonio Pasco was killed in a knife stabbing. Andre Fusco, cousin of the victim, was arrested after an all night chase and gave State's Attorney a written statement claiming self defense. Autopsy set for tomorrow. Andrea faces arraignment after results. Family feud thought to be motive.

Two Men Die in Auto Smash in Ocean Park Area

New York June 1 William P Goubeand and Thomas Folin both of Brooklyn were instantly killed in an overturning crash on Ocean Park arena early today. Two other passengers were severely injured. The vehicle skid at high speed, struck a curb and trees. John Lanyon the driver was arrested.

Oldfield Car Crash Injures Driver and Passenger

An Oldfield driver lost control of a car on the boulevard near Tyngsboro, overturning the vehicle late last night. Mrs Oldfield was badly injured while Joseph OBrien of Boston escaped with no serious injuries.

Osiday Raids By Barre Police Net Few Beers

Mrs Charles D Carpenter of 28 Woot Street escaped serious burns when a woolen skirt trapped flames from a gas oven fire at Congregational church veterans dinner. Carpenter Dies After Fainting On South Main Street

Dinner Bandere a 46 year old carpenter collapsed on South Main Street in Barre soon after leaving his home and died minutes later from heart failure. Born in East Montepelier, he leaves a wife Minnie Crane and three daughters Lucille, Pearl, and Menton, plus three sons and several relatives. Funeral arrangements not yet set.

Quarry Worker Injured in Fall at Burton Quarry

McDougall, a Burton quarry worker, was injured Friday afternoon when a stone slipped under him. He was struck on the left leg as he moved to pick up a Frencher under the stone. He was taken to a home in Websterville, where Dr. Reid and Mr. Bailey attended, and the fracture was reduced. He is resting as comfortable as can be expected.
