Mark H. Daniels of Goshen New Hampshire and Frank Crossman of Claremont were charged with obtaining seven horses by false representation using bogus checks in Windsor county. They were arrested near North Montpelier by Deputy Sheriff Kiniry with Sheriff Smith and Martin Fitzgerald assisting. The seven horses were brought to Montpelier. Alexander Connon Dies After Prolonged Illness

Alexander Connon aged 60 died last evening at 0 15 after months of illness from congestion. He was among the first Scotchmen to settle in Harre and a charter member of Clan Genlon No 12. A prominent Scottish figure and longtime Presbyterian church member. He was born in Scotland in 1543 and came to this country about 30 years ago settling in Barre 21 years ago. He leaves a widow and several children. The funeral will be at the Presbyterian church Sunday at 2 p.m. Rev Henry officiating. Burial in Hope cemetery.
