Manchester New Hampshire July 27 Deputy Cassidy and police were present as Peter Sullivan won the bout over Coffey in the thirteenth round. The referee and fighters were instructed not to allow brutality. no interference was needed as the contest remained orderly.
Cornelius McCormick, a prominent real estate dealer in Sullivan County, is arrested following a fatal shooting linked to a case described as Marsh murder. McCormick disappeared after the incident but returned last night and surrendered to authorities.
Woodstock July 27 Antonio Maro an Italian from Windsor County faces charges for liquor selling. Also present were Ross Hawkins and W B Warren charged with assaulting a Norwich officer. All three fined about 60 dollars with costs.

Church decor included daisies ferns and palms.
Mrs. David Landergan, about seventy, residing at Brosco’s Mills, was killed instantly yesterday while crossing a four inch wide stringer bridge near her home. She left for her daughter's nearby residence after dinner and fell about 25 feet to rocks below. Survived by three sons and four daughters.
National Life Inference company general agents hold their sixth annual meeting in Montpelier on July 27. Officers will be elected this afternoon and the next meeting planned. Johnson, a longtime Johnson resident and veteran, died yesterday after a period of illness. He served in the Vermont regiment beginning July 17, 1963, was wounded at Charlestown, West Virginia, on August 14, 1564, and discharged January 2, 1965. He operated a drug business, ran a store on Main Street, and later sold to C. P. Jones. A charter member of Old Brigade Post, G A H, he was respected for integrity and firm views. Services Friday at 2:00 p.m. at his residence with J. K. Fuller officiating.
Bethel July 27 reports a painless tooth extractor who left town after a painful wake and is traced to Lebanon New Hampshire. Charles Buckley an aged Plainfeld resident died from a shock suffered Tuesday. Funeral at Levi Bailey’s Berlin home tomorrow afternoon at 2. He was a former sailor with many years in the area. He leaves a daughter Mrs Levi Bailey of Berlin and a son, Charles, now in the West.
E E Vanonen was arrested Tuesday afternoon by Clint of Pole I S Abbott on the charge of indecent assault on a ten year old girl. A preliminary hearing was held at Judge William H Nichols home, the case continued for counsel, and Vanotman was bound over to county court with bail set at 400 dollars. The defense denied any criminal assault intent.
