A fight aboard an electric streetcar in St Louis early today led to a fatality and many injuries. One man died identified as Hofman. The clash caused a trolley wire to snap and a following car to crash into the halted vehicle, scattering debris and injuring numerous passengers.

In Wayland Massachusetts on July 25 a Hudson farmer named Johnson, 25, was riding with garden truck to market when his two horses were frightened by an approaching automobile. He was knocked down and trampled, suffering a fractured skull and internal injuries. He died en route to Waltham hospital.
Wilfred J. Harkness, 29, of Batt, claimed a bogus voyage from New York to Boston after stealing a catboat the Frances. He said lack of money forced him to board the craft off Brooklyn’s coast on June 27, attempting to reach Boston, but his confused story ends with his detention for alleged boat theft and related charges.
In a shocking turn, Garl Loose of New Spasher paid the penalty today for the murder of Giuseppe Gauhardo. The execution followed the killing by electrocution of Vinieard, the accused's brother, just ten minutes earlier at the prison.
