Glasgow January 11 The Scandinavian American liner United States returned to the Clyde after turning back from Copenhagen to New York. A total of 234 passengers were transferred at Greenock to the Anchor line steamer Cameronia under dangerous conditions due to high winds and heavy seas. The Cameronia then sailed for New York.

William H Wilson of Barre Dies in Sarasota
William J Wilson, born in Barre, died in Sarasota Florida after a brief illness. He built a lumber business in Michigan, led a large firm with 60,000 acres, and was a frequent Barre visitor. Survived by wife Gertrude, two daughters Cora Johnson and Sadie E Wilson, two sons W Leigh Wilson and J Brneat Wilson, two brothers Frank and Charles S Wilson. The funeral planned for spring at the family home with interment in Barre.
