In Lat ter City nineteen factories quit work as strikes grow in St. Petersburg and other cities. Jan 27 reports say more workers have returned to duty while the death toll from Sunday's massacre surpasses seven hundred with many wounded in hospitals. Bullets used by troops were reported to have old explosive cases, hindering recovery.
Unconfirmed dispatches from the Russian frontier claim severe fighting between workmen and troops at Radom Poland. He posted a $200 appeal bond.
