John A Anderson Dies After Long Illness in Barre

After a protracted illness John A. Anderson died at his East Montpelier road home Saturday evening at 9 o clock. He was born in Smaland Sweden on July 1 1870 and came to Barre in 1903 where he resided since. He married Hannah Johnson of Quincy Massachusetts on July 6 1911 and survived by his wife a son John Andrea Anderson two brothers and a sister in Sweden. He belonged to multiple fraternal orders including Green Mountain Council Royal Arcanum Harre Aerie Order of Eagles and Odd Fellows among others. Funeral services are set for Tuesday at the Brook Street Baptist mission at 2 pm with Rev John Bjork and Rev George H Holt officiating. Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery.
