Brattleboro Jan 2 Edward Todd a local employee of Thayer Wert Bertie was arrested at the railroad station by Deputy Sheriff Knapp on a warrant charging alienation of the affections of Mrs Todd. He could not secure the $5000 bail set by Municipal Judge Barber and was taken to Newfane jail to await trial at the April term of Windham County court. A note appeared again this morning in Winchester County district before H Seturday.

Woman Dies After Barre Operation at City Hospital

Mrs Walker of South Barre died at five this morning following an operation at City Hospital Friday. Born June 1, 1868 in Orange, she moved to Barre as a girl and married John Walker about 29 years ago. Survived by her mother Mrs Dinntha Huse, brothers Carl Huse and Frank Mus, and many friends. Funeral will be held at her South Barre home with services by Rev J Don of the Universalist. Burial in the cemetery.
