Funeral of George A Berry Held in Waitsfield
The funeral for George A Berry was held Sunday afternoon at his brother’s home in Waitsfield with Rev C M Redstone officiating. Born January 4 1841 in Moretown he was a lumber dealer and farmer who lived in Waitsfield for 80 years. He married Allen Mosher in 1864 and died after two strokes from a cerebral hemorrhage. He is survived by his brother Julius E Berry and sister Mrs Ellen McGregor. Interment was in the family lot at Irasville.

Brattleboro Firemen Injured In Sunday Night Blaze
Fire damaged a three story block on a Brattleboro street injuring several firefighters and residents. The blaze started near a wooden barn and spread to a two story wooden building. Mutual aid arrived from Greenfield Massachusetts as crews battled fire in freezing temperatures.
