Hrattleborg Jan 1 Harry Day about 50 and married was seriously injured on a Vernon farm when a bull charged him as he led it to a water trough. The animal gored his chest and thigh, broke bones in his left leg, and threw him into the snow. He was found an hour later and admitted to Memorial hospital. exposure and internal injuries feared.
Burlington reports the death of five month old Helen Florence Steele from strychnine poisoning after her two and a half year old brother fed her sugar coated pills. The tablets, owned by Charles Steele, sergeant instructor in Vermont militia, were ingested while resting on a table. The funeral service was held at the cathedral with Rev J F Gillis officiating, and burial took place at St Joseph's cemetery.
