London February 28 The Petrograd correspondent of the Exchange Telegraph reports the German army has received orders to halt its advance into Russia. The correspondent says the information, deemed reliable by him, indicates a suspension of offensive operations with potential strategic implications.
Two more American soldiers died from German gas shells yesterday, raising total fatalities to five. Throughout the day, groups of men were found suffering from poisonous gases, with about 69 victims reported last night, most not badly affected.
A message to Yale from New Haven dated February 28 states Curtis Seaman Read of the class of 101K, a naval aviator with the rank of ensign, was killed while flying in France. Read was assistant manager of last year's football squad and son of the late William A. Read of New York.

Mrs Lens F Helland died from a gunshot at her home on May 20 when her husband, Bradley Marden, allegedly exchanged shots with an intruder. Authorities reported the suspect charged with murder as the case proceeds in August.
