Three railway workers died when a New Haven freight wreck struck near South Barstow station New York on February 20 Conductor Louis Heagmars fireman Chas Denier and Charles Mevender perished as debris caught fire after the collision.
Wakefield Mass Feb 26 Two men were seriously hurt probably fatally when an electric car collided with a two horse team of Haywood Brothers and Wakefield Hettton company on Water Street. James Cameron of 1 Winter Street and William Bolton of Main Street were trapped beneath the overturned team and five barrels of heavy iron pantings. Cameron suffered a broken arm internal injuries and may die Bolton had broken legs and internal injuries but is not yet certain. They were taken to the local hospital as crowds gathered at the curve where speed contributed to the crash.
In Greendield Massachusetts on February 26 the town votes on Internet in the license and no license issue. Most expect a yes majority as manufacturers such as F Wells and F A Rugg back alcohol regulation while some leaders oppose.
