The funeral for Mrs. C K Davis who died from injuries after a fall on the 16th was held yesterday at 1:00 pm from her daughter M T Page’s Elim Street home. Rev Conner and Rev J Edward Wright officiated. Interment followed in East Montpelier cemetery with bearers from East Montpelier. Out-of-town relatives attended, many friends from the area joined the service. Mrs. Davis long served in local religious circles and was beloved by many. During illness she bore pain quietly, expressing faith in God’s will. Numerous wreaths and floral tributes were placed by family, friends, and community members. Two solos, Nearer My God to Thee and Face to Face, were performed by KK. Griffith.
