Explosion in Hamilton Manufacturing power house injures eleven

An explosion in the boiler room of Hamilton Manufacturing Company’s power house in Lowell Massachusetts today injured eleven men and caused extensive damage to the south side buildings. The most seriously injured are John Kennelly a foreman and Axel Olsen both badly hurt with possible death. Olsen a Swede has a fractured skull and internal injuries. Seven workers were hospitalized and several pedestrians along Middlesex Street were struck by flying debris.
