Early today in Richhill Missouri burglars blew open the Farmers and Manufacturers Bank trapping the interior and front. They escaped with about $25 000 in currency. The town of 5000 lies 85 miles south of Kansas City in Bates county noted for mining and brick making.
Penn February 12 a tramendous explosion in the tank house of Monongahela today killed one man and fatally injured another while two more were burned. The blast shook the entire city and caused thousands of dollars in damage. The explosion was felt a mile away.
Vierma Feb 12 Many persons die as Armenian district in Van Asia Minor is wrecked by a magazine explosion during resistance to seizure by Turkish soldiers. Turks found hidden rifles and were moving them when Armenians attacked and fighting occurred. It is unclear if the blast was accidental. A church was buried high in the air.
