An electric street car speeding toward Scott Haven, Pennsylvania, derailed after leaping an embankment 200 feet high near Coulterville. Five passengers died and the remaining passengers, all miners on their way to work, were severely injured.
Cyclone Burne of Boston stunned Turkish Frey Mahmut Gotch at Mechanics' Hall by denying a fall for forty one minutes nineteen seconds before Frey finally scored. Mathe mont won with a head scissors and bar arm lock in fourteen minutes ten seconds with a reverse neleon. Dr. Ben Roller of Seattle won again at No Gert the Boer with a three minute five second fall using an arm hold, scissors and bar, followed by a twenty six minute thirty five second second fall with an inside crotch hold.

The wife and young child of George A Latcia a solicitor and collector for the Metalitan Insurance Company are anxious over his disappearance last Tuesday night in Burlington Feb. Lucia an ex soldier who has lived in the area only a few years is described as unknown beyond what the insurer and staff knew at engage ment time. Latcia had good habits and was trusted. Thomas Magner Vermont branch superintendent says Lucia kept books in the office the night of the disappearance but counts cannot be reconciled until an adult arrives. He is not believed to have taken any company funds.
Four men and four sleds depart Fairbanks for Mount McKinley in favorable conditions. Led by George S. Lewis, the expedition aims to reach the mountain's summit as Hershel supports the trek with paving and planning assistance.
Boston February 6 ninety percent of George Riabach advocates of the canals pay plans accepted the offer on the dollar at a creditors meeting. The announcement was made today at the meeting.

A broken rail derailed four eastbound Big Four coaches four miles west of London Ohio late yesterday. Indianapolis, Feb 6. Indictments in the dynamite conspiracy cases are reputed to be returned before tonight. Government evidence on who was responsible for the explosions and who aided payoffs to blow up viaducts bridges and buildings is expected to be received in part by the indictments.
Bridport on Sunday morning Moeate Roberts and family lost their one-and-a-half story dwelling as fire swept the upper part. The blaze started around 11:30 and furniture was saved in the lower sections while the roof and loft were ruined. Mr Muller of Gorn U Moate was seriously injured and it is unclear if insurance covered the $1,000 loss.
In Newport municipal court a youth who gave the name Virgil E Morrill of Huntington received four to five months in county jail for vagrancy and two to three months for petty larceny. He sought aid from clergy while claiming funds to return home, sold mileages he obtained from a man, and was found to have escaped from an industrial school with a poor record.
Five persons were killed and three overcome by escaping gas from a broken street main in the Reco section of Philadelphia. The victims were foreigners. Gas reached the sewer and spread into nearby homes.

An elderly man, Michael Manning, 63 to 70, was found dead by hanging in the upper part of a Barre Town home on Beckley Hill at about 12 30 PM. Manning, employed by A Tomasi on the William Watermen place, had recently spoken of self harm and had taken a rope from boys sled to aid his act. The body was found after workmen returned from the woods where Manning had been employed since morning. The town health officer Dr. BM Bailey arrived later. Manning's wife is believed to live in Waterbury. The scene and circumstances are under local inquiry.
Union men notice of a meeting to discuss action on a section to be held Thursday evening February 8 at Nichole block 7240 o clock. Executive board Central Labor and Woman's Missionary Society of Trons Church will meet at Tremont Street to discuss tomorrow afternoon at 2 20 o clock with a large attendance expected.
