New York December 23 After a long deliberation the Nan Patterson case ended in a 6 to 6 deadlock over the murder charge of Cass Young The jurors were discharged by Justice Davie Patterson sobbed on her father’s shoulder as the judge announced no verdict Prosecutor Rand seeks remand without bail and a new trial appears likely The crowd outside The Tombs watched the jury room and jurors faced with a hopeless deadlock from late night into the early hours.

Theatrical Company in Financial Troubles and Arrests

The Randolph currents of the Darlington Iron Prees shade the follow ing to his paper: A theatrical company in financial straits arrived in this Iowa Monday from Warren and W. W. Lapoint of Barre tried to help, but more trouble followed. A sheriff from Moretown arrived Monday with warrants for the arrest of the company members on larceny charges. they were taken back to Moretown but released. The company held a fair entertainment Tuesday night then disbanded after canceling a performance at Grover’s avenue. At noon yesterday, runs of 250 tickets to a hall rent of 25 dollars and other small bills were noted.
