Senator Watson states Colonel Theodore Roosevelt Jr corroborated his assertion that a soldier was shot by an officer, urging the Senate to enlarge the inquiry.
Prohibition agents conducted extensive raids across three Kentucky counties chasing whiskey bands after a week of operations. They seized over 30,000 gallons of beer, two gallons of moonshine, ten stills, and distillery cargo while capturing guards and bystanders during the Tyrone Ripney distillery raid. Methuen police today took into custody and turned over to the state police John Hornish, a resident of the town, in the shooting of Wilmerner last night. He was held at Kings tin and was later transferred to Boston for questioning. Details of the incident were not released.

Oliver W. Barrows rural carrier on route 3 survived an attempted holdup when Francis Kellerker, 25, attacked him with a revolver near Fred Allen's farm. Barrows fought back using the sleigh and blows, prompting a pursuit by Bethel and Woodstock officials. Kellerker was arrested near Barnard after a chase ending with the assailant in custody. Barrows’ injuries were treated and deemed not dangerous.

Funeral for Ro Edward McNulty of Maple Avenue held at St Monica’s Church with Rev J M McKenna officiating. Many lodge members from A O and the Foresters attended. burial at St Monica’s cemetery. Out-of-town mourners included Hugh McNulty of Ottawa and Mrs Thames McNulty, among others.
