Leon Wilton a Lynn post office clerk of more than two years was arrested as he left the stamp window charged with larceny of 200 from the government. Investigators found prior small shortages at the Lynn office misattributed to stamp sale errors. Wilton, 45, married of 12 Rhodes Ave West Lynn, allegedly confessed to thefts intended to cover building costs.
A 1900 incident reports schooner Bowen sunk after a collision with the British steamer Rokeby bound from Brement Savannah. Rokeby rescued all seven crew and landed them at Vermuta. Captain Hinckley of the Bowen and his brother Captain Hinckley of Bath provided details. No further accident details given.

Built 1886 by Dr WH and BO McIntyre, it rents for 2200 yearly with no tenant changes anticipated.
Harry Eastman, 23, died from injuries received at a wood power shop when a truck toppled inside the Hay Peeee Ma netaining company plant. An elevator struck the ground floor causing cases to fall, leaving Eastman with a mangled arm and a severed leg. He was transported to Albany hospital where he died yesterday after burial ceremonies last Thursday.

Charles Eliason, a leading granite maker and prominent citizen of South Ryegate, was severely hurt at his shop when derrick machinery threw him. In Lowell Massachusetts yesterday afternoon Judge Harris granted a petition by Caralyn Thewster Dill also known as Carolyn Di Rochfort of Melrose to annul her marriage to John Edward Rochfort f of Paris. The ceremony in 1908 was performed by Rev Albert Dale then a New Jersey resident who lacked authority under Massachusetts law. a death certificate for Dale was presented and the petition was unopposed.

A 7:30 parade from Depot Square to Tinpot Square featured a grand vizier and a procession of members, performers, and a Bengal tiger act that delighted the crowd. After entering the temple, officers were elected and initiations followed, with over 140 members present and plans for next gathering discussed.
