Miraculous Escape for Auto Occupants on Honeymoon Ride

United States District Attorney taker of Washington and his bride of two months, joined by several friends, survived a perilous plunge when their large covered auto lost control on a Walnut Mountain hillside near Libbay New York. The car fell nearly 100 feet, tumbling three times before stopping in a tree thirty feet below the brink. One Woman Killed in Dorchester Auto Crash

Boston reports Mary Koch aged 82 of Dorchester died instantly and three others were seriously injured when a Blue Hill Avenue collision between an electric car and a vehicle driven by W C Beaver Jr led to a crowd being struck near the Knights of Pythias encampment. Several injured including Miss Alice Cobb and Miss Winifred Waters, with Ralph Montgomery and others, police arrested the driver Seavey in Dorchester without bail.

Auto accident injures Mrs Conings near Montgomery Center

A Richford couple's car lost a front wheel near Montgomery Center last night. The driver, her husband, and two Richford women escaped serious harm. Mrs Conings suffered a deep head wound and severe cuts but was not ejected. She was taken to Dr. G. S. Clark’s home for care.

Senator Allison Dead at 79 in Dubuque Iowa

United States Senator Wy BR Alfison of Iowa died in Dubuque on Aug 1 after heart failure and illness from age related factors. Born in Perry on March 3, 1821 he studied at Allegheny and Western Reserve, practiced law, moved to Dubuque in 1857, served as Civil War staffer and congressman, then senator from 1875 until death. Rutland mourns the passing of Elliowet at age 97 years 7 months after a long life in the town. Despondent man commits suicide in barn fallowing despondency

Fon Aug 3. Robert Reet about 60 years old hanged himself in a barn. He was in poor health and despondent. His wife left a short time to call a neighbor and found him hanging when she returned about a quarter of an hour later. The case appears to be self inflicted.
