The state board of education has engaged Miss Goetrich of Kalamazoo to be principal of the State Normal School at Johnson at a salary of 1.80. The board reelects the teaching staff at Johnson. Miss Goetrich, born in Michigan in 1879, studied at Michigan State Normal, Columbia University, and Teachers College. Her career includes classroom work in Michigan and critic roles at Western State Normal School, with summer study at the University of Wisconsin and continued training at Columbia University.
The funeral for Erarsting Maranon, a Seni who died Wednesday after a stay at Hamy Allen hospital in Wer neski, was held at his home on North Main Street Friday at 2 oclock.
