Senate Republicans agreed in caucus to push the soldiers bonus bill this session and seek a timely vote. They also planned to move the administration tariff bill without delay and to attempt to hold quorum continuously to ensure passage if possible.
Washington April 18 prepar ations for funding the eleven billion dollar foreign debt to this country were completed today with the organization of the allied debt commission. Elliott Wadsworth assistant secretary of the treasury in charge of foreign loans was named executive secretary to supervise negotiations with foreign debtor nations.
