Horace Peverly Civil War veteran dies in Rutland
Horace Peverly aged 73 died in Rutland after four years there. A Civil War veteran and painter by trade, he had been ill since March 10 with heart disease. He leaves a wife formerly Miss Elizabeth F. Born in South Charleston New York, he enlisted July 12 1861 in Northboro in the 6th Massachusetts Infantry and was wounded twice in service. He was a member of Roberts post G A B. Prayers will be said at the house Friday afternoon around 6, the remains will travel to Northboro Saturday morning and a service held Saturday afternoon with interment in Northboro.
