At Madero camp near Tustillo Hacienda on April 13, insurgent leader Francisco Madero stated he could only repeat prior demands. Talks showed hopeful signs as preliminaries urged direct negotiations with Mexico City, with decisions expected in a few days.
April 12 reports indicate Jose de la Croxe Sandhens declares the insurrecto army will enter Ofinaat within two days. Rebels push trenches toward the ford, drawing closer to the beleaguered garrison as supplies dwindle.
Washington April 12 Chairman Underwood of the Ways and Means Committee introduced a reciprocity bill with Canada and a separate measure to place about one hundred articles on the free list. The bills aim to aid farmers by offsetting anticipated losses under the Canadian agreement and include agricultural implements and repair parts among the free items. The free list is expected to receive early consideration as calls to advance the reciprocity bill gain momentum.
In France on April 12 the pleat riot spread as ex ec populace attacked wine cellsrs and damaged property. Troops remained deployed to restore order while reports from Paris described Senate support for territorial limits on wine. Streets ran with champagne and mud as the unrest continued.
In Schenectady New Jersey on April 12 Jacob W Clute three time mayor of Schenectady shot himself in the bathroom of his home as a sheriff and deputy waited at the door. He had lent his name to friends and endorsed many notes using trust funds to meet obligations amid a reported estate shortage.
A man identified as Pricherd Doslay aged 24 died after collapsing at a card game late last night. Witnesses report he appeared to have a rough hand but the exact cause remains under investigation. Police are examining the scene and awaiting autopsy results.
Charles J. Quackenbush of Stamford won the election as president of the New England division of the Railway Mail Clerks Association, defeating Boston's Alvah C. Walton after an injunction and dispute over seating. Walton withdrew after an hour's debate. officers were re elected and funds were raised to cover Quackenbush's salary and potential member losses.
Boston April 12. Mrs Clara Russell strangled her daughter Marjorie in Dorchester during a suspected insanity episode. She tied a towel around the child while she slept and was arrested after an investigation identified the killer as the 45 year old Ruta xell.
The third annual report from the Pittsfield state tuberculosis sanatorium shows 106 admissions by county with Rutland leading and Washington a strong showing. The year ends with receipts of 20 854.41 and disbursements of 25 185.54, leaving a deficit of 4 580 covered by Mrs Proctor. Among those treated, 62 of 114 observed for two years or more are well enough to work. two deaths were due to hemorrhage.
Louis King, working for K. M. Whit on an Essex farm, was struck by a four year old bull while driving cattle into a barn. He sustained two broken ribs and other injuries after the animal charged him during feeding, escaping to the house before further encounter. Whit later secured the bull. Also noted is an inspection update on Morrison Farm Dairy for milking conditions and milk quality.

Creditors allege preferential payments and transfers while insolvent. three creditors claim $215,900,000, with estimates of total claims potentially reaching $5,000,000 or more.
The Tuesday Afternoon club and guests were royally entertained at Mrs George Richardson's home yesterday afternoon. Attendees arrived around 2 30, enjoyed social time, then moved to the dining room for olives and a generous meal. Guests lingered an extra hour after service, remarking on another pleasant gathering added to their memories.
The Montpelier board of trade met to discuss city interests including opposing closing the carriers' windows on Sundays. The Vermont Methodist conference opened in Waterbury with Bishop Thomas B. Neeley presiding. 64 ministers and four laymen attended. three deceased members were named. Receptions, transfers, and financial notes followed as the day included reports, officers chosen, and a recess for afternoon sessions.
The board approved favorable licenses for lunch room operations at GL, Woodworth, FL Church, Vermont Fruit, United Fruit, Diverset Fruit, KE, M. Days, Howard Harris, and the Barre Candy kitchen, while denying RB, Dente, L. Romani, Abram Allen, John Cleary, and Txdameph for lack of lunch facilities.

A Vermmont Telephone communication was paged for action.
In Washington county court the jury returned a 700 verdict for George E. Downing of Karre re. Iert Wernham and Morse parac company in a timber trespass suit. The plaintiff sought 3,000 and costs. Afterward the calendar proceeded to State v Gallagher for alleged illegal liquor sale. Witnesses included police officers and deputies. The jury list comprised residents from Barre, Berlin, Calais, Woodbury, Montpelier, and nearby towns.
