Hyde Park Adopts 59 Cent Tax for Village Services

Accident Injures Marlboro Man When Shotgun Discharges
Brattleboro reports Edward Brumwell of Marlboro was hit in the left side by a shotgun blast when another man Russell, repairing a boat, lifted a gun causing the charge to discharge. The wound required the bearer to ride to a neighbor for aid. doctors say recovery is possible though severe. Brumwell, about 28 and married, faced a frightful ordeal.

Charles H Beede Death in City Hospital
Charles H Beede died at City hospital shortly after six o'clock after a long illness. He is survived by three daughters Mrs N Wales Mrs F F Allen and Mrs EF Bixby of Barre and one son Clinton H Beede of Old Orchard Me. He leaves a sister Mrs Tora Reede and three brothers William Beede of Barre Gilman Beede of Sunfont Me and Oscar Beede of East Kingston N H. He was born in Haverhill Mass over seventy one years ago. He came to Barre from Massachusetts many years ago and married Mrs Ehaira Wilds of West Orange who died about five years ago. He once ran a hotel at West Topsham and later farmed on the East Hill in Barre. Since his wife’s death he lived with his daughter Mrs Bixby. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 11 oclock at the Hin?g Methodist church with Rev KE Thayer officiating. Burial will be in West Topsham cemetery beside Mrs Beede.

She was born Hose Le Chappalle in Therville, PQ, married to Mr. Tat-Weide and moved to the village with four sons and two daughters.
