Dr W E Ramsey of Perth Amboy N J testified Thursday that Hebe a compound of skimmed milk and refined coconut oil is not injurious to public health in industrial centers, despite Wisconsin's claims. Ransome Jackson Dies at 82 Former Baraboo merchant postmaster
Ransome Jackson aged 82 died Tuesday in Battle Creek Michigan. Born in Massachusetts he lived in Baraboo Milwaukee and the west. He ran a general store and a grocery, served as Baraboo postmaster, worked in real estate, helped promote Palisade park. Survived by one son A R Jackson. wife and two daughters predeceased him. Cremation held in Detroit.

About 200 Baraboo chapter members and visitors gathered at the Masonic Temple for a 6 30 banquet. Out of town guests included Mrs Mae E Grimshaw Elroy and Mrs Martha B Clark. Six candidates were made up and the degrees conferred by Past Matrons. Mrs Grimshaw and Mrs Clark spoke. Mrs Willey sang. banquet was directed by Mrs Geo Hoadley.

The Methodist Men's Bible class spent a weeknight at Mr and Mrs W S Halsted with a small but enthusiastic group. They discussed church advertising, the role of churches in civilization, and how resolving labor and price issues could curb greed affecting grain and food distribution. A moonlit ride home noted Frank Thomas refilling a drained radiator with moonshine, described by the secretary as a needed coolant.
