Power Plants Transform Wisconsin Regions and Farmers
Wisconsin river water power grew from Kilbourn to Prairie du Sac, powering 37 cities and rural lines. The Kilbourn plant began in 1909 with 9200 horsepower, the Prairie du Sac site followed by 1914, expanding to 35 000 horsepower and supplying Milwaukee, Madison, and surrounding villages. Transmission lines planned to Janesville Evansville Oregon and Brooklyn will increase reach and boost rural power.

Jury Awards Pastor Five Thousand Dollars in Slander Suit
In Fond du Lac circuit court Rev. G. C. Gerlach pastor of the Rosendale Lutheran church won five thousand dollars in his ten thousand dollar slander suit against Frank Gruett a Rosendale congregation member. Three letters from Gruett to clergymen in Wisconsin formed the basis of the verdict with Laura Gransee drawn into the case. The jury found the letters were acted with malice and Rosendale residents largely attended the trial. Gruett is president of the Rosendale Telephone Company.

Plan to remove Sparta T N T from Camp Robinson
The War Department will move large quantities of high explosives from Sparta Wisconsin to Fort Wingate Arizona and possibly along the Mississippi by barge. The Chicago and North Western under R. C. Richards reports a nine and a half year decline ending December 31 1919 versus 1910. Killed employees drop 372 to 36.3 percent, injuries 21072 to 25.6 percent, passengers and outsiders also show declines. The system covers nine states with 8423 miles and 1300 safety committee members.
