Senate adjourns without passage of general deficiency bill

Wisconsin vs George Koberstein liquor case heard

Mrs. Mary Kern died Tuesday near midnight at her daughter’s home in Greenfield after a stroke. Age 63, she was born in Waukesha and moved to Greenfield at 20. Survived by three daughters including Mrs. A R Weiland and Mrs. Otto Jahn, three sons, two sisters, and sixteen grandchildren. Soldier W D Cahoon home from overseas

Private W D Cahoon returned from overseas landing at Newport News February 12 and arriving home from Camp Funston two weeks later. He spent nearly six months abroad with illness including influenza pneumonia pleurisy and mumps while in the infantry. Cahoon stopped in Glasgow Scotland and St. Aignan France before hospitalization delayed his front line arrival. He is the son of former Assemblyman Wilber Cahoon and Mrs. Cahoon.

Long Lifespan of Henrietta Griffin Traced Across States

Henrietta La Grange Griffin born Cleveland November 4 1836 moved with family to Pipe Creek Wisconsin then Kenosha Wisconsin married Abraham Griffin March 2 1854 in Waukegan Illinois. The Griffins lived on a Illinois farm then moved to Ironton Wisconsin where he enlisted in 1864 and served until the war’s end. After his death in 1907 Henrietta cared for relatives and finally died February 17 1919 in Iowa near her daughter Mrs Ja Harrison. She leaves seven children and a memorial window was placed in the local M E church beside her husband’s grave in Resting Green cemetery.

T. S. Morris Dies of Double Pneumonia

T. S. Morris died Tuesday night in Madison from double pneumonia after a recent relapse. He served as president of the John Muir walking club and co led trips with Judge E. Ray Stevens through Glacier National Park. He led the T. S. Morris Co. wholesale paper firm and the General Madison Hospital association, and leaves a wife two sons and a daughter.
