Memorial Day Observed at Baraboo with Addresses

Mrs. Henry King of Prairie du Sac died in a Madison hospital after cancer surgery. Her remains were brought home to Prairie du Sac on Thursday and the funeral was held at the Presbyterian church at 2 o clock this afternoon.

Missionary Society Meets At Mrs Linton Home
The Woman's Home Missionary society of the Presbyterian church met yesterday afternoon at Mrs. W. H. Linton's Mulberry street. Mrs C S Williams started the study China’s New Day and was praised for her delivery. Mrs M McHugh led devotional exercises and Mrs Floyd Newell gave a reading. Miss Velmar Linton provided music and many attendees were served coffee afterward prepared by the south side ladies.

Carpenter Sells Moss Rose VI Heifer for Record Price
Assemblyman Carpenter of Bamaboo sold Moss Rose VI, a two-year-old shorthorn heifer bred by Dan R. Hanna in Revenna Ohio and by Anoka Sultan, to Frank Harding of Waukesha for 1150. The sale set a breed and age record, though Carpenter would not have sold if not to strengthen the Anoka Farm herd and Wisconsin’s prize prospects. Moss Rose VI won first at the Chicago international show last year and was undefeated in her yearling classes.
