Red Cross Society Holds Meeting at Parish House
A good turnout of ladies gathered at the parish house to sew for the Red Cross. Milwaukee nurse Mrs. Katherine Kolsaat spoke on Milwaukee relief work, and Miss Helen Riney announced finances reported by Mrs. Frank Avery. The group closed its February started series. finished supplies go to New York on April 16. A follow up meeting is planned at the library Tuesday at 4 PM.

May Open Mine at North Freedom
The North Freedom mine may start operations soon though no order exists. Superintendent William Trebilcock has returned to the mine residence after a period away. Much machinery was removed when abandoned and renewed operation would use electricity. A power line from Prairie du Sac to Cahoon would bring current near the ore bed.

At a Thursday council session city attorney W H Cady was directed to appeal the Oak street bridge dispute arising from alleged fast driving.
