A Delton resident faces questions after police investigate the killing of a dog or coyote linked to a before the board incident. Investigators review disposal details and potential witnesses to determine animal involvement and motives.
County board debated adding a vacuum system and other upgrades to the Deltona and county farm heating contract. The vote failed 29 to 0, so the current steam heat plan remains in place and funds for soldiers relief were reviewed by County Clerk Wood.

The program includes talks by UW professors and guests from Minnesota Michigan Illinois and other states with fruit testing and orchard management demonstrations and a fruit judging contest. Headquarters are at the Avenue hotel with Secretary Frederic Cranefield presenting the program.
Columbia county boards decide to levy the entire $25,000 cost of a new building against taxpayers now, a stance criticized by The Portage Democrat as bad legislation. Keidall resident C L Van Haden and family visit Otto Schroeder on Mound street.
A North Freedom resident notes about 30 widows in the village and 14 widowers. He says the town has more widows than any similarly sized community in the county or state and that five women receive government pensions every three months.
About seventy five stockholders attended the annual meeting of the Excelsior creamery at the G A R hall. A committee was appointed to confer with Fairfield creamery on a possible merger with settlements to be in Baraboo. The annual report shows receipts 61510.85 cash paid to farmers 56444.14 and butter output at 209039 pounds with cream 746975 pounds. The 1910 officers were reelected.

Five foxes were killed near North Freedom by H Gulish. The bounty paid was fifteen dollars. The four grey foxes and one red fox were captured, with one grey fox noted as toothless due to old age.
Mrs. John Koether of Prairie du Sac died this morning from dropsy after a long illness. An early settler, she was 78. Survived by husband and five children. sons Charles and Fred in Madison, Henry near Prairie du Lac, and Louis at home.

The funeral for Mrs. W. G. Kirchoffer was held at 1906 Monroe Street Madison with Rev. E B Patterson officiating. She died Monday at Mendota hospital after prolonged illness tied to distress over her sister’s death and subsequent illnesses. She was born May 5 1873 in Blooming Grove daughter of Daniel B Tompkins and Pauline Tompkins. She leaves husband W G Kirchoffer two sisters Emily and Anna Tompkins two brothers Frank and Julius Tompkins a brother Joseph of Blooming Grove and sister Mrs James Arnold.
