Funeral for Private Waddell in Charlotte
The remains of Private Thomas H. Waddell of Montana died of pneumonia at Camp Green were given a military service at Tryon Street Methodist Church in Charlotte attended by soldiers and civilians. Chaplain Pippy led the rites. the Montana band played as the casket, draped with a gray cloth and an American flag, was carried to the station for return to Montana.
