George R. Chapin Dies in Minnesota and Rests in Bonnievale
George R. Chapin died Wednesday afternoon at Colonial hospital Rochester Minnesota after arriving for medical care Tuesday. Born 1882 in Owanah Minnesota he moved to Baker then Fallon County in 1908 becoming a noted farmer and neighbor. His funeral was Monday at 2 PM at Congregational church with interment in Bonnievale cemetery. survivors include his widow four children two brothers and two sisters.

N P Nelson’s collie Milwaukee, once a Baker stray, died Sunday evening after a Chevrolet coupe driven by Mack Niccum ran the dog down on Main Street. The dog, rescued from the city pound seven years ago, had lived with the Nelson family and was beloved by local children. Milwaukee spent much time at the post office lobby and was known for his friendly disposition.
