Fall s bankers to go to Leavenworth
Butte officers R B Noble and Julius Peters of the defunct Commercial National Bank of Great Falls were denied a stay of execution by Judge Pray in federal court. They will be transported to Leavenworth by Deputy U S Marshal Curt Dennis to begin their federal prison sentence. The court had denied a retrial in the San Francisco circuit last year after two days of advisement.
Boy Scouts Plan Benches and Lights for Baker Lake
The Boy Scouts met at the Congregational church basement and plan to repair benches for skaters at Baker Lake this winter. They will carry out the work Friday and Saturday and may seek city help for electric lights on the lake. Patrol 1 Leader Morris Ludwick honored Milton Duppler for top points and Jack Blutt for second highest points in his patrol.
