Indiana Tornado Claims Relatives of Local Resident
C. P. Hoke reports his aunt Mrs. Rebekah Rhodes and her daughter and son-in-law Mr and Mrs George Johns were killed in last week’s tornado that hit southern Illinois and Indiana. The Rhodes and Johns families lived near Elizabeth in Harrison County Indiana. The storm damaged Hoke’s childhood farm and injured many in Harrison County as he awaits word from the region. Hoke, once away thirty four years, now connected with Cash Grocery Co in Miles City Star.

Hospital Operations Report From Local Hospitals
Mrs. J. C. Freeman underwent an operation at Elizabeth hospital on Thursday and is reported downgrading as nicely as could be expected. Her sister Miss Brenda Dickson arrived from Ismay on Thursday. Former Sheriff Fred F. Kelling, who had an operation at Miles City hospital last Friday for appendicitis, was reported doing fairly well on Thursday after a bad night Wednesday. Many friends here hope for his early recovery.
