Newspaper ads prove profitable for local buyers and sellers
Local readers find success with small ads in the Sentinel and other papers. Items recovered include a lodge pin and a parasol, while oats and phonograph records moved quickly via late winter placements. Ads reach buyers more reliably than mailed circulars, and weathering costs shows newspaper ads are cheaper and more often read.

Small threshers gain favor in Montana farming districts
G A Colbo of Fallon County argues smaller threshers suit homesteaders better than large steam rigs. He notes 40 acre farms, poor roads, and scattered homes raise pulsing and outside help costs, making 24 inch separators and 10 20 tractors practical.
