Cr Greenfield reports rapid filings under the 640-acre grazing homestead act will cover a large portion of free government land in Montana. Land offices show roughly 25 000 acres in Helena and similar totals east of the mountains. Kinney Proposes Refunding Capitol Bonds at Lower Rate

Senator J. E. Kinney of Wibaux introduced a bill to refund $125 000 state capitol bonds currently at 6 percent and re sell them at 4 percent. The Cruse estate owns the bonds and payments would come from the capitol building interest and sinking fund.
