Temple of Fraternity to Rise at World’s Fair in St Louis
A temple modeled on Athens Parthenon will serve as a headquarters for fraternal orders during the Louisiana Purchase Exposition. About 70 orders endorse the project with roughly 100,000 dollars pledged so far. The 200 by 300 foot structure will include tropical gardens, reading rooms, telegraph and postal services, a free dispensary and ladies parlors. The project is coordinated with the Exposition Company which will provide offices and financial controls to ensure funds are used only for building and maintenance.
